Hi, I’m Tim.
I’m a cinematographer and FAA Part 107 certified drone operator based in Fort Mill, South Carolina. I started Obsidian Media to provide professional aerial imaging for filmmakers, brands, businesses, and organizations that need high-quality visuals from above.
I also co-founded a production company called Crux Films, where I work on documentary and brand storytelling projects. That filmmaking background strongly influences the way I approach aerial work. For me, flying a drone isn’t just about getting a shot from the sky; it’s about capturing images that actually serve a story or a purpose and move a viewer.
Outside of work, I’m a big fan of baseball, travel, film, and collecting. I’ve always loved movies, especially sci-fi and neo-noir storytelling, and yes… I’m a lifelong Star Wars nerd.
